SAP How to suspende jobs quicklly

 Sometime BASIS need to suspende jobs in minutes. ☝

There are 2 reports for suspending jobs and releasing jobs in seconds.

Before performing the system copy, execute BTCTRNS1, which will retain the job definitions and scheduling information but mark the jobs as "suspended." After completing the system copy, you can use BTCTRNS2 to reschedule the jobs at their original times in the target system.

Detailed Steps:

1. Suspending Jobs Using BTCTRNS1

  • Run the program BTCTRNS1 via transaction code SE38.

  • Jobs were suspended for upgrade.

  • BTCTRNS1


  • After executing the program, the system will suspende all jobs in secondes.


2.  Reschedule Jobs Using BTCTRNS2

  • Run the program BTCTRNS2 via transaction code SE38.

  • Jobs suspended due to upgrade were rescheduled.

  • BTCTRNS2


  • Always, we should execute BTCTRNS2 twice to make sure all jobs are released.

As SAP Note 1121176  descripts, Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 is quite an old release and newer Windows operating systems are not supported (for example Windows 7/Windows 8).
